The absolute classic version of a wedding is… white! The absolute classic, you know that fairytale sort of dream – where the design is as dreamy as the dazzling bride herself.
Picture a white wedding, long flowy white tablecloths, adorned with silver tableware, clear glass underplates, mirrors on the tables, white napkins – and of course the florals – compact arrangements, rich in lavish greenery and expensive all white flowers!
Now… step into 2024, where the brides want elegant (rustic and boho are beautiful, but luxury is on the rise again). And well… add a twist – add black details.

Black Details can be combined with various elements, to bring out a varied result – just because its a white wedding with black details, it doesn’t mean the design needs to look the same.
In the following wedding you can see a mix of long tables and round tables – wooden cross back chairs, white tablecloths. The wedding is set outdoors – at Heritage Venue, there’s a strong ‘woodland’ feel to it, perfectly tied in with the choice in chairs.
The Seating Board is a large beautiful and custom design, the dance floor cake stands – black pillars with a black cake.
The major black detail is the napkin, combined with some black candleholders, black candles and some black centrepiece stands. The table numbers were custom made – prints in a black and white design (see if you can spot them on the tables) and the guest gifts were plain white boxes with a black ribbon. Small touches, minor details which make the wedding design complete.
Its an alternative approach to the elegant white and rustic wood look. There’s a contradiction of textures present – and we love the end result.
The flowers are mainly white with greenery elements – but the wedding design has no added greenery – it is elegant, minimal and timeless. The focus is the small florals and the black details, tied in perfectly with the wood look.

White Tablecloths, black details, white flowers and greenery. It might sound like this next wedding will be exactly like the wedding above. And yet its not.
Both weddings had a minimalistic approach, and the whole black and white thing going on, but the design is far from the same.
Here our couple had a strong focal point printed welcome/directional sign, with black stands adorned with lush greenery and white floral installations. There is large white flowers, combined with small ones and a beautiful amount of greenery – just enough to accentuate the white!
The wedding venue, Ktima Oasis, has a ‘secret garden’ vibe, with the gorgeous outdoor landscaping, and the indoor dinner area. Immediately you notice the strong white element, perfectly combined with the twinkling rows of fairy lights.
The tablecloths are white, the selected chairs elegant and again – white and the small small black details. The strong black element is the napkins – draped over the clear glass underplate making the whole design pop. While there is a little bit of black added to some centrepieces and candle holders, the vibe is white with a pop of black.
